Jeff
Jeff started his piercing and tattooing career in 1981. He focuses his expertise in the piercing field with tens of thousands of piercings done to date, while honing his skills throughout the years.
Jeff has studied and trained with some of the top piercers in the field - most notable Fakir Musafar (visit him online at www.bodyplay.com). Jeff first attended Fakir's body piercing intensives over ten years ago in San Francisco, looking for added edge over the competition, and to further that skill by attending Fakir's advanced body piercing intensive. Fakir is known world wide for his fifty plus years of research and personal exploration of body decoration and rituals, and is labeled by the media as the 'Father' of the modern primitive movement. He is also the co-developer of the modern body piercing techniques in general use today. Fakir is also the publisher of Body Play magazine, a cutting edge publication covering all the aspects of the body modification field.
In addition to training with Fakir, Jeff has also attended seminars held by Jim Wards, a world famous gauntlet piercing studio located in New York City and San Francisco. Gauntlet was responsible for bringing body piercing into the mainstream by having one of the first commercial body piercing studios available to the public, combined with vast knowledge and cutting techniques. Gauntlet defined the piercing industry as we know if today. One of their many assets is the publication of Piercing Fans International Quarterly, an informative magazine covering current body piercing techniques, personalities, and trends. Jeff also belonged to several piercing associations and organizations located in the United States and Europe, most notably the Association of Professional Piercers known as the APP (visit their web site at www.safepiercing.org), a past member from 1995 to 2002. The APP is dedicated to piercing health and safety standards.
Jeff has also completed courses held by the American Red Cross, and has been certified in the prevention of disease transmission, first aid, adult CPR and the HIV-Aids program. He is also responsible for organizing several seminars for local piercing and tattoo studios.
Among his varied interests, Jeff has been an avid martial artist for the past twenty years, holding different degrees of black belts. He also has a passion for the three big H's - Hummers, Harley Davidson's and Helicopters.
